Hi all, Im looking for a AI assistant to help me with web research. For example, I need information about current treatment methods for a pecific disease. Instead of doing the research myself I will give this task to the assistant to do the online research.
Can you recommend something?

Thanks

hi,

These are probably your best options for “AI that can do the web research for me” (and still show you sources you can verify):

- Consensus (good for evidence-based summaries from peer-reviewed papers): [https://consensus.app/](https://consensus.app/)
- Elicit (strong for literature review workflows: finding papers + pulling out key data): [https://elicit.com/](https://elicit.com/)
- Perplexity (good general web research with citations + “deep research” style reports): [https://www.perplexity.ai/](https://www.perplexity.ai/)
- ChatGPT with Search enabled (handy if you prompt it to stick to guidelines + cited sources): [https://help.openai.com/en/articles/9237897-chatgpt-search](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/9237897-chatgpt-search)

I doubt you need telling, but I’ll say it anyway for anyone that reads this: always check and double-check anything, and especially with health topics — AI can hallucinate, misunderstand the question, or miss the newest/most relevant guidance. Use it to speed up reading and source-finding, not as the final authority.

Hope this helps,
Liam
