# Cannot download models

I cannot download models from hugging face. For example:  
$ git clone [meta-llama/Llama-3.1-70B-Instruct · Hugging Face](https://huggingface.co/meta-llama/Llama-3.1-70B-Instruct)  
Cloning into ‘Llama-3.1-70B-Instruct’…  
Username for ': sadikkapadia2  
Password for ‘’: \< Fine access all perm token\>  
remote: Your request to access model meta-llama/Llama-3.1-70B-Instruct has been rejected by the repo’s authors.  
fatal: unable to access ': The requested URL returned error: 403

How do I fix this?

Some models, such as Llama, Gemma and FLUX, are called gated models, and you need to obtain permission from the author for each HF account individually. If you have permission, you can download and use the model. (There are ways to download models without permission, but basically you should get permission.)
