If you’re fine-tuning or benchmarking agentic models, you’ve probably noticed the
literature moves faster than any reading list can keep up with — ReAct, function
calling, multi-agent orchestration, tool-use evals, all landing weekly on arXiv.

I put together a dataset that tracks it: fineset-io/llm-agent-papers

- 1,660 papers on LLM agents & tool use, published 2023–present
- Pulled from arXiv (cs.LG, cs.CL) and cross-referenced against Semantic Scholar,
with duplicates merged into a single record that lists both sources
- Each record carries a citation-normalized quality\_score (0–1), so you can keep
the high-signal papers and drop the long tail when building a training/eval set
- Clean JSONL: title, abstract, authors, published\_date, citation\_count,
has\_code/code\_url, quality\_score — no scraping, no dedup work on your end

I’m maintaining a handful of these topic datasets and keeping them refreshed, rather
than re-scraping arXiv from scratch every time a project needs current papers. This
one’s the agents slice.

Curious what topics people here would actually want as a maintained dataset — happy
to point the pipeline at suggestions. The tool’s at [fineset.io](http://fineset.io) (early access) if you
want one on your own research area.
