# Pending authorship claim and Daily Papers window for arXiv 2608.09209

Hi, I have a pending authorship claim on arXiv 2608.09209, UNMASK: Discovering and Causally Verifying Spurious Shortcuts in Text Classifiers. I am the first author.

The paper went up on arXiv on Aug 9 and was accepted at COLM 2026. Since the Daily Papers submission window is 7 days and my claim is still pending, I cannot submit before it closes.

Two requests. Could an admin approve the authorship claim, and would it be possible to feature the paper on Daily Papers despite the window having passed?

Congrats on the COLM acceptance. I can see why the timing is frustrating, especially if the authorship claim is still pending and the Daily Papers window is only seven days.

I’d probably keep the authorship claim and Daily Papers request separate when contacting the admins, since the claim itself is the immediate blocker. If the claim gets approved after the submission window closes, it would be worth asking whether they can make an exception or manually consider the paper for a later Daily Papers slot.

Hopefully someone from the HF team can take a look at the pending claim. Having the arXiv ID and HF username in the post should make it easier for them to locate the request.
